Hi that's for reading this can you help with my project on realism in games (and also games that are not so real)
But I am conducting some research into why we as Gamers play war based FPS (i.e. TF2 mostly).
So if you can answer these would be great.......
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////1) Whats the main reason for playing them i.e. our instincts / escapism / do what we cant do in reality or just plain Fun haha
2) Secondly why do some games (i.e. FPS) strive for realism (more specifically photo realism / emotional realism) and why do some (i.e. TF2) go for more of a slapstick and less realistic manne and why is this?
3)Finally what's next in realism / limit of realism to basically real war. (i.e. a mate told me why don't FPS have realistic injuries (i.e. legs blown off after IED)?
Thanks for reading / answering and I will put more questions on this up later on
