Cheers! I just joined this site. always loved tf2, probably always will (I have both console versions, but not the p.c. one). U know those "make-a-weapon-then-send-and-valve-will-look-at-it" sites? well, I have no idea how to meet the requirements for those sites, so I figured I just post my weapons here. Where should i post my weapon ideas, cuz i really don't know.

Yay, Xbox player. Now I have a TF2 buddy. My GT is frat57. What about yours.

I don't think there is a specific place to post weapons. Just the general TF2 discussion I guess.

Well, welcome to the forums, we are a really small, but close community. I hope to see you in the forums, and also, in game.

Welcome to the forums, indeed! It's always great to have new members, even when they are so unfortunately constrained by the restrictions of the console version(s).

Anyway, you're right, we don't really have a weapons forum, so I guess just chuck it in General Discussion for now. If we ever add a more appropriate forum, we can move it across. Look forward to the reading! :D

Welcome again, and big, warm, fuzzy hugs.

Are you sir, are you making fun of the xbox version? I expected better from you Mr. Pie. I should quit the forums right now for your disreputable behavior.

Nah, just foolin' with ya. I would only quit if my house burns down and I'm not fast enough to save my computer.

Thanks for replying!

First of all, I'm happy to be here, already enjoying my new forum- writing powers! I've been dying to write my weapon ideas to people who care. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside when I realise i'm not just reading what people write, but am part of the conversation! Plus, it makes me feel equally as warm and fuzzy to be replied to so quickly, even though I'm new to the site. It makes me feel even more fuzzy that I've been greeted by the former administrator (I've been reading the guides for a while)! Thanks once again and I'll try my hardest to perform my forum-writer responsibilities (whatever they may be).

P.S. sorry for being mushy, and I haven't forgotten you ether, Frat.

Greetings, and welcome to our humble little corner of the internet! Sad to hear about your console-only predicament, but I suppose we'll let you in just the same. To you and others still stuck on the console, is it because your computer isn't up to the task of TF2? Is it the cost of buying the game yet again? (certainly understandable). It just makes me cry to imagine someone playing without hats, new maps and unlockable weapons, let alone the agony of shooting at people without a mouse and keyboard. I've got friends who tout about how shooters on a console are better because it's more of a 'challenge', but I generally retort with the fact that consoles are FPS-challenged. I wouldn't dare to even poke the console version TF2 with a 20 foot pointed stick for fear I might get a little bit of it on me. It comes from good lineage for sure, being TF related and all, it's just sort of the unspoken sibling of the family, the one who wears a helmet at all times and has a bit of a drooling problem.

Anyway, hey, welcome to TF2S! Be sure to keep up on your forum-writer responsibilities, or else I might have to tell your mother on you. Let the warm fuzziness commence!

Yes, I have an old windows 2000. I got it in '01, it is extremely slow, lacks disc space, and it takes a week to download steam on it. Ill post some more of the merits and demerits of the consoles in a new post

Wow, even more people who reply to my ramblings! More warm-fuzziness! More people who think the console versions pale in significance to the P.C. version (*sniff* it's true! the console version kinda sucks!). More friends! More possible child malesters... Anyways, what's keeping me from the P.C. is my fear of keyboards and mouses (is the plural mice even though we are talking about the mechanical device, not the animal?). I've lived with controllers all my life and facing mouses (mice?) is kind of...daunting... anyways, I also suck at the game! I want to get better before dealing with mouses. My suckiness makes me feel...kinda unworthy almost. Like I need to prove my skill before I step up my game and achieve true happiness! Maybe if they were to invent like a controller for the P.C. or somethin' I'd feel better. Plus, all the new stuff on the P.C. version makes it feel like a different game... untested territory... where I'll get owned. Anyways, thanks for your guy's repyling and acceptance of me into your community!

Co-administrator! Co-administrator!!! :P Admittedly something of a back-seat co-administrator at present however.

TF2 isn't just about shooting people, it's about the balance, the options, the character, the thought. Being part of the conversation is a whole lot of fun because there's just so much diversity to converse about. Hence the site

And I'm honestly interested to hear how you can possibly justify saying a mouse is harder to aim with than a controller! To me, a mouse is very close to a touch screen - if you want to click on something to the left, you move your hand to the left, as you would your finger to touch something. Using a controller is like fighting with one of those crane games where you move the arm up and then right and then drop it to grab a toy. It's like you're pushing the view rather than pulling it. Maybe you just need to fiddle with your settings (sensitivity, invert Y-axis, etc.) to see the light ;). Controllers are the Devil in plastic form.

Anyway, I'm not making fun of it so much as stating the facts ;). Controllers aside... no new guns! No new maps! No new game modes! No hats! No patches and balance tweaks! No lots of things :( Open platforms will never die.

How could you say that Pie! controllers are amazing! I use them so often, I know how to use a controller better than my own hands! Well, technically, you do need your hands to use a controller, so... Anyways, you say a mouse is like a touchsreen? I happen to hate touchscreens. In my mind, a touchscreen combines real-world movement and controllers to form something... not right. Like trying to mix a cheeseburger and fruit salad.

I also have a question: How do I use smilies?

Time to tell a little about myself

Likes: TF2, Halo, warm-fuzzy things/things that give a warm-fuzzy feeling
Dislikes: touchscreens, mouse, not-knowing-if-the-right-plural-for-mouse-is-mouses-or-mice, incest, pedophiles

Notes: I suffer from a severe case of Pedophilephobia, the fear of getting child malested. It's a mental illness that induces fear of child malesters and is very contagious. In fact, I've never come face to face to someone without the disease. Only known illness that increases a person's chance of survivability.

P.S. How do you use smilies? Just asked again to make sure no-one forgot I asked.

Yeah, Mouse (mice) Are (is) easier to aim with. With a mouse you control the VELOCITY of the reticule. With a controller, you control the ACCELERATION.
Yet, I seem to prefer a controller to a mouse. Its just more... more... wireless? I also like the 360 degrees of motion you have with the left stick. Instead of WASD, which gives you 8 directions, the thumb stick gives you (theoretically) 360 directions.

Also, when you boot up Tf2, your xbox is not asking for Graphical Driver X493 plugged into Port 392 after allowing IP 43.244.049 to go through your firewall. Its just slide the disk in, and play.

Wow, I wander so much in my writing. I hope you guys can get at least the gist of what I said.

Hello axel, I'm a bit late on the greeting bandwagon, but hello nevertheless. Smilies are on the right hand corner of the text box, and all you have to do is click on them to make them show up. They'll show the text code when you type inside the box, but will show the actual picture when you post it online.
You could theoretically play the PC version of Team Fortress 2 on your computer... using an x-box controller for PC, you could probably play with you xbox controller, and there are some methods to reduce graphics to older levels: Searching around steam, I found this if you're considering playing TF2 on your 10-year-old computer http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=1149207
