Engineer Update - Coming this week!

After last week's post (which I was a little slow in picking up on) we now have official notice that the Engie update is happening this week, on Thursday (or Friday for us in Australia which is perfect timing for a good Friday night guilt free gaming session)

Golden Wrenches available for crafting all week, only 75 are available (and one of those had gone already when I last looked), there's more details on the TF2 blog

First new weapon for the Engie is the Frontier Justice, a shotgun variant which gains crits as your SG accumulates kills. Nice!

Second new weapon announced - a remote control for the sentry gun. AWESOME!

Looks like the last unlock is going to be a guitar. As seen in Meet the Engineer. Lets see what it does!

That's what I thought Orion, but it appears we were wrong. Final update is a glove and mini-sentries replacing the pistol and full sentry I guess.
Looks like the item I'd want least of all. The other 2 I WANT WANT WANT!

Was thinking I'd go home this weekend (assuming there's power) and fire up the old PC and get it updated and have a game, however, remembering what it was like playing after previous updates, I may just save myself the pain and leave it to calm down a few weeks.

More time to spend on the single player campaign of Bad Company 2.

Soldierfan's probably spent at least 337 hours playing TF2 for the past two weeks ;D

Ain't got any of the unlocks yet sadly, my favorite class having been the engineer even before the update. Argh, (newb talk here) I hate it when those darn ninjaneers set up a whole mine/sentry field in front of your spawn's exit!

Edit:
Yippee! I haz found the Frontier Justice ;D Don't think it'll do much good for myself since I'll probably die once the sentry dies and won't get to use 'em "revenge crits".
